About Me

IMG_1292-768x960.JPEG

I am a professional member of the Canadian Sport Psychology Association (CSPA) and I hold a Master's degree in Human Kinetics (MHK) with a specialization in Intervention and Consultation from the University of Ottawa. Before graduate school, I completed a B.Sc. in Athletic Therapy at Concordia University after which I entered the workforce for a brief period of time. I then returned to school to obtain a B.Sc. in Psychology from the University of Montréal. Combining the knowledge and experience acquired in both undergraduate degrees has prepared me well for the field of performance psychology. In September 2022, I obtained the status of Certified Mental Performance Consultant administered by the Association for Applied Sport Psychology (AASP) and the Canadian Sport Psychology Association (CSPA).

Outside of academia and the professional world, I have played for the Montreal Blitz Women's Football team for seven seasons. Prior to my football career, I taught judo as a black belt and was a competitor in the sport as well for many years. Being an athlete for most of my life has given me valuable insight into the psychological challenges that one could encounter over the course of an athletic journey.

My Mission

My mission is to help my clients attain performance excellence and optimal well-being while focusing on the development of autonomy and resilience. I aim to assist them in becoming the best person and the best performer they can be. My work mainly revolves around empowerment and positive change. As my clients go through and grow through their careers and lives, the ultimate goal is to build a complete mental skills toolbox to which they can refer to. I believe that being well-equipped in this way will allow them to lead successful and joyful lives.

How I Can Help

As you may know, the mental aspect in sports and performance is crucial. It can be argued that it is even more important than the physical aspect. My role is to provide mental training to develop and/or strengthen the skills needed to excel such as, but not limited to, visualization, stress management, distraction control, communication, goal-setting, performance planning and motivation.

Although I specifically focus on my clients' specific contexts in order to optimize performance, the skills developed are easily transferable to all areas of their lives. This is why it is very common to observe simultaneous changes in different spheres.

Please note that this process can be applied to groups of individuals as well.
